Atlanta

So Charlie took some time off work and we went on a trip. My brother, Greg watched Autumn. It was nice to spend time alone with Charlie. We drove down Monday and got to the hotel and rested. Tuesday morning we got up and went to the Atlanta LDS Temple. It was nice to go through together again. It has been a while since we have gone to a temple together and it was a first for me to go to the Atlanta (well besides baptisms)

That afternoon we found a Popeyes' Chicken to eat at. I LOVE their red beans and rice. It was so delicious! Then we drove down to Atlanta and had an adventure. We drove around a while trying to find the parking we wanted. Then we had to walk a couple of blocks to the Aquarium. It is expensive but we had a good time. The ocean tank with the whalesharks was the coolest. There were several different views of the expansive tank and a "tunnel" that you walk through/under the tank for a unique view.
After we were done there we walked through the Centennial Olympic Park that was across the street. It was soooo HOT!! It was a code red ozone day. What a great day to pick to walk around Hotlanta! So we quickly made our way back down the street to the car.

We then had the adventure of heading down to Turner Field. We finally made it to the correct parking lot. We had to find the green lot. We did and did not have to walk too far to get to the entrance. We walked around the field. Watched some of batting practice, listened to Chip Carey and Mark Lemke do a pregame radio show, then made our way to our seats. We watched the braves error big time in the 1st inning. They came back in the 9th and made it exciting but still fell short losing 3 to 4.

Wednesday we got up and drove back home. On the way we stopped and an outlet mall and did some shopping. I don't think Charlie and I have ever been on a vacation that we have not gone shopping on...not sure that is a good thing. :)
We got to Greg's house about 5:40pm. Autumn was happy and in one piece, so we were happy! ;)
